I will dominate 'credible boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex twice unified title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou declined a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
